In September 2022, the first Polish Chess Tour tournament was held in Krakow. Below is some information about the tournament:

  • competition date: September 18, 2022
  • place: Krakow, hotel Aparthotel Lwowska 1
  • number of players: 88
  • two classifications: open and juniors
  • Swiss system over 9 rounds
  • game tempo: 10'+5''/move
  • PLN 1,800 in cash prizes and PLN 1,365 in prizes in kind
  • the best players received prizes in kind and financially as well as specially designed statuettes
  • The competition was held in cooperation with the longest-running chess club in Krakow – the Krakow Chess Club, which guaranteed the highest level of organization
  • the tournament was reported to FIDE – the international chess federation, thanks to which the players received an international chess ranking
  • each participant received a gift - a cup with the tournament logo and one of the competition sponsors
  • Before the competition, online qualifying tournaments were held where you could win a ticket to the tournament and one of the
    In addition to the entry ticket, players also won accommodation for themselves and a companion for the night before the competition
  • the special guest of the tournament was the famous chess streamer Tomek Jaskółka, who was a guest of, among others, the Sport Channel
